What if my trainee needs a visa extension?

Here you will find a manual by INM of how to make status and characteristic changes.
Nevertheless, attend to your local INM office and verify you can run this process in the country, otherwise the trainee will be required to leave and re-enter the country.
My trainee applied for the visa in his consulate but he was told he had to run the process from Mexico, What should I do?
