According to the General Law of Population, the Mexican Government (SEGOB ) requires foreigners to obtain a visa authorizing them to carry out the activities that will be involved during their stay in the country , REGARDLESS of the length of stay and / or their  nationality .

 There are two types of visas for trainees in Mexico

 

1. TEMPORARY RESIDENT without permission for profit-making activities

a) More than 180 days but less than 4 years

b ) Practice not payed in national territory

c ) Valid for all countries

 

2. VISITOR without permission for profit-making activities

a) Less than 180 days

b ) Practice not payed in national territory

c ) Valid for all countries except (Canada , United States , European Union,  Japan - these countries do not require visas for less than 180 days)

 

 

Requirements:

I. Passport or identity and travel document valid and current , original and copy .

II. Original and copy of the document proving their legal status if the foreign person is not a national of the country where applying for visa.

 

III. Submit documents evidencing any of the following circumstances :

1. Financial solvency :

 

  a) Original and copy of proof of investments or bank accounts with monthly average balance equal to twenty thousand days of general minimum wage in the Federal District , during the last twelve months , or

  b ) Original and copies of documents showing that the aplicant has employment ,monthly income or pension unencumbered greater than the equivalent of four hundred days of general minimum wage in the Federal District for the past six months.

 

2. Letter of Invitation :

  a) The original letter of an organization or a public or private institution of recognized proof of invitation for the foreign person to participate in any non-remunerated activity in the country. The letter should contain the following information:

    i . Full name of the applicant or interested and nationality.

    ii . Corporate name of the organization.

    iii . Registration number and purpose of the organization or private institution.

    iv . Full address and contact details of the organization or institution.

    v . Information on the activity carried out or the project that involved the foreign person . The activity of the foreign person must be related to the purposes of the organization or institution that invites .

    saw . Duration estimated or approximate date of completion of the activity performed .

    vii . The demonstration of joint liability for the maintenance of the alien throughout his stay in Mexico and their return to their country of origin or residence , and

    viii . Copy of an official ID with signature of the undersigned the invitation letter .

 

 

- It is important to keep in mind that this type of visa prevents foreigners participating in the Exchange Program engage in any other gainful activities / for profit with any other organization for the validity of it.

 

- Visas for AIESEC activities are authorized by Mexico embassies and consulates abroad to participate in learning activities and acquisition of professional experience in their area of ​​expertise or study.

 

- The duration and maximum age for purposes of AIESEC are 18 months and 30 years, respectively , at the time of the alien to run for a vacancy . Please keep in mind that if the aplicant has more than 30 years at the time of application for a visa or an extension (extension of visa) this will be denied by AIESEC Mexico.

 

 

BEWARE THAT EVERY CONSULATE AND EMBASSY ARE AUTHONOMOUS ENTITIES AND THEY CAN REQUIRE FOR EXTRA DOCUMENTS. NEVERTHELESS THESE ARE THE HOMOGENEUS REQUIREMENTS.
